CPH staff

Sarah Liu is the MPH program coordinator with the Department of Global and Community Health. She has a background in global maternal and child health and is passionate about working towards achieving equity in reproductive and sexual health in vulnerable populations. Her passion in Public Health started when she traveled to El Salvador through the alternative trip program at Mason which focused on reproductive health rights in women and adolescents and violence prevention. She has experience in working with organizations working on targeting period poverty and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs). 

Troy is an academic advisor for undergraduate students in the College of Public Health.

Rene Ayala and Jade Young received the Exceptional Support Award and Holly Park received the Outstanding Supervisor Award. 

Deja Jennings

Jen Holland is the Financial Analyst for the College of Public Health Department of Global and Community Health. She has nearly a decade of experience in various higher education roles.

Amy Burke, MSN, RN, is the RN Clinical Specialist for the Mason and Partners (MAP) Clinics. She has worked at George Mason in the nursing labs, as a clinical instructor, and coordinating clinical and preceptorship placements for nursing students since 2009. Previously, she taught at the Harrisburg Area Community College in Pennsylvania nursing labs.

Caitlyn Fulcher is an ECOP Community Peer Specialist coordinator for the College of Public Health, School of Nursing. She is a Registered Peer recovery specialist through the Virginia Board of Counseling. Her primary role with George Mason University is the site coordinator of the ECOP program located in Chesterfield County. 

Mistey Surida is the Human Resource Specialist for the College of Public Health.

Jeremy Burton is an ECOP Community Peer Specialist Coordinator for the College of Public Health, School of Nursing. He is a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist with DBHDS and has graduated from the Recovery Leadership Academy in 2021, facilitated by VCU.

Joelle Patricio is a Graduate Admissions Coordinator for the College of Public Health. In her role, she supports the recruitment efforts for all graduate programs and provides guidance and support to students from pre-admission through graduation.
