Biography
Katie Wilson is the Program Manager for the Bailey’s Crossroads & Culmore Place Based Initiative (PBI) anchored within George Mason’s College of Public Health. Operating in partnership with Kaiser Permanente and Fairfax County, this collective impact PBI addresses the social determinants of health in the Bailey's Crossroads area of Northern Virginia, one of the largest and most diverse immigrant communities in America. Additionally, Katie sits on the Board of Directors for Fairfax Families for Safe Streets, a nonprofit dedicated to advocating for pedestrian safety and infrastructure improvements in Northern Virginia. Her previous professional experience includes serving as the Financial Inclusion for New Americans Program Coordinator for the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Community Empowerment and Opportunity; a HUD Housing Counselor for Southwest Community Development Corporation; and a Policy Researcher & Speechwriter for Dáil Éireann, the Lower House of the Irish National Parliament. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Arcadia University and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Policy at George Mason’s Schar School of Public Policy.
