Acclaimed jazz drummer and musicologist Kevin C. McDonald is Adjunct Professor of Applied Jazz Percussion at George Mason University and drummer for the U.S. Navy Band Commodores, the Navy's premier jazz ensemble. From venues including Kennedy Center and Jazz at Lincoln Center to The White House, he has shared the concert stage with Dave Liebman, Mark Turner, Paquito D’Rivera, Miguel Zenon, Maria Schneider, Bob Mintzer, Randy Brecker, Lee Konitz, and the New York City Ballet.
Jonathan Katz, Ph.D. and Professor of Practice in Cultural Policy and Arts Management at George Mason University, consults extensively on strategic planning, cultural policy development, advocacy, leadership development and the value of arts education.
Marit Majeske became the Education Coordinator of the Hylton Performing Arts Center upon the opening of the Hylton Center’s Education and Rehearsal Wing in December 2019.
Carol DeVany has worked at George Mason University in a variety of capacities throughout her career, and currently serves as Marketing Manager for the College of Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA) where she focuses on marketing and promotional outreach for the Hylton Performing Arts Center.
A native of South Carolina, Chris Burrell completed his undergraduate studies at the College of Charleston and did graduate work at University of South Carolina.
