Britney Ordonez Lavine is the new Photo Lab Manager at the School of Art Photography department at George Mason University College of Visual and Performing Arts.

Katie Franke, tenor trombonist, is the newly appointed adjunct applied trombone professor of George Mason University’s Dewberry School of Music, effective Fall 2024 semester. In October 2023, Katie Franke commenced her role as the first-ever female trombonist and low brass player in the history of the “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band. As a member of “The President’s Own,” she regularly performs at ceremonies and concerts at the White House, as well as around the D.C. area and throughout the United States.

Zahra Carpenter, a Washington, D.C. native, is a dance educator advocating for safe dance environment guidelines, onsite or local dance healing practitioners, and acceptance for many minority dancers.

Maya Harr grew up in Alexandria, Virginia where she studied ballet at The Washington School of Ballet under the tutelage of Kee Juan Han, former LINES Ballet company dancer, Kristina Windom and award-winning choreographer Mimmo Miccolis.

Horizon Miguel is a DMV based dance artist, educator, choreographer, and K-pop cover dancer. A Maryland native, he began formal dance training at Baltimore School for the Arts.

Caroline Steiger is an active teacher, clinician, and performer. She holds degrees from the University of Michigan (DMA, BM Music Performance with Teacher Certification) and Penn State University (MM Music Performance).

Ronae Jones is Film and Video Studies Marketing and Events Coordinator.

Shanice Mason (she/her) is a Washington, D.C.-based dance artist, arts administrator, digital media consultant, and educator. Shanice’s skills, at the intersection of art and digital media, include graphic design, media production, and content creation.

Jessica Kallista is an artist working in collage, video, sound, and performance. She is also an educator, curator, and gallerist. She received her MFA in Creative Writing with a concentration in poetry from George Mason University in 2002.
