Students and faculty collaborated to create UNIV 381: Foundations for Building a Just Society, a three-credit class that fulfills two Mason Core requirements—global understanding and social/behavioral sciences—and is projected to evolve over time into a required course for all students.

George Mason University Provost and Executive Vice President Mark Ginsberg announced on Wednesday that Marie alice Arnold will serve as interim executive director of the Global Education Office (GEO). Currently associate director of GEO, Arnold will assume her new position later this month.
In the first-ever donation of its kind, McLarty Associates is donating $15,000 to Mason's Office of Fellowships to help develop a course and programming to support students seeking to pursue careers in international affairs and public service.
With the guidance of LaNitra Berger, senior director of Mason’s Office of Fellowships, and thanks to a happenstance meeting between them, Soraya Ngarnim and Chanel Grice are fulfilling their dreams.
