The first time Katherine Ashby saw her artwork installed at Gunston Hall, the historic home of U.S. Founding Father George Mason IV, it was surreal. “I had never done something that felt that important or that had been installed physically,” the senior painting major from George Mason University said.

Renowned for her sensitive artistry, vivid tonal palette, and expressive musicality, Dr. GaYoung Lee has established herself as a highly sought-after solo and collaborative pianist on prominent stages worldwide. Her ability to seamlessly integrate and elevate musical synergy with fellow musicians has earned her acclaim in solo recitals, chamber music, and vocal collaborations.

Classical guitarist Vincent Muscarella performs along the east coast of the United States and in Canada as a soloist, chamber musician, and ensemble member. Vincent performs in a variety of settings including symposiums, conferences, festivals, music venues, recital and concert halls, and theaters.

It takes only a brief tour of their art-filled home in Alexandria, Virginia to appreciate the way that art shapes the lives of George Mason supporters Gardner and Stevie Gillespie.

Amanda Snellings is the assistant director of development at Mason's College of Visual and Performing Arts, but when she's off the clock, she is also the artistic director of City of Fairfax Theatre Company.

Mason hosts international symposium on digital therapeutics

Nearly 400 girls and women interested in science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) gathered to participate in Girls’ Tech Day Virginia, hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS) on the SciTech Campus in October.

Mason Arts at Home is an online platform and “digital venue” featuring curated arts experiences, including livestreamed concerts, releases of previously recorded content, behind-the-scenes talks with artists, and more.
