Advisory Board members met with students in a casual conversation that will yield concrete results

Just-in-Time Hiring Fair is one of many career resources provided by the university that gives students an opportunity to make connections with various companies and experienced professionals, promoting employment and social mobility for students and alumni.

More than 4,000 students made their way through the Johnson Center’s Dewberry Hall, speaking to 240 potential employers over two days.

George Mason University’s Fall Career Fair, hosted by University Career Services on the Fairfax Campus, connected students and alumni with prospective employers on Sept. 27–28.

The Office of Diversity, Outreach, and Inclusive Learning (DOIL) hosted BLAST Off Week 2023 from September 11 – 15, during which CEC students networked with university resource groups, student organizations, and representatives from the Department of Energy and CACI.

At a Computing Career Reception, juniors and seniors in CS and IST networked with tech industry representatives from companies such as Appian, Brillient, and Verisign.

Mason senior communications major Jalen Stubbs participated in a "Future U" podcast at the Chronicle Ideas Festival. The podcast, with two students from other universities, focused on student experiences in higher education.

DOIL’s inaugural Trailblazers Awards ceremony concluded the second annual BLAST Off Week, hosted by the College of Engineering and Computing’s Office of Diversity, Outreach, and Inclusive Learning (CEC DOIL). Events featured resources available to CEC students.

In a 2016 Internship & Co-op Survey that collected responses from almost 300 organizations and across 20 industries, the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) found that “employers begin recruiting interns eight months before their start date; for co-ops [cooperative education programs], this window is six months.” It is never too early to start thinking about applying for these opportunities for next summer.
