Track Two Diplomacy

Michael always saw his main role to be a teacher, a clarifier, a synthesizer and an interpreter, and he did this job with much success as a long term faculty member in the International Relations department at the London School of Economics, a place for which he had a deep affection.

We at the Carter School were saddened to learn of the passing of our friend and colleague, Joseph V. Montville. Joe died peacefully surrounded by family, a well-deserved blessing.

Margarita has extensive experience in peace and reconciliation work in the South Caucaus. Since 2012 she has been facilitating Georgain-South Ossetian reconciliation dialogues together with Carter School faculty Dr. Susan Allen.
