Biography
Dr. Tabatha Hargrove is a native of Suffolk, Virginia. She has over 10 years of experience working in higher education. Her broad background based in both Academic and Student Affairs includes the following: career and academic advising, tutoring and writing center supervisor, college success specialist, academic coaching and advising, as well as teaching and program administrator. This background has given her the knowledge, skills, and ability to help serve students in the Honors College as the Student Support Coordinator.
During her collegiate tenure at Liberty University, she attained an MBA in Human Resources and an Educational Specialist post master’s degree in Educational Leadership. Also, during this time, she conducted qualitative research for a publication on the topic regarding “Solutions to Getting Minority Students Prepared for College and the Workforce in the STEM Fields”. She went on to complete her doctoral degree at Aspen University in a similar research qualitative phenomenological study focusing on innovative student success strategies for underrepresented college freshmen students. This study helped her to better serve students from a holistic approach.
