Biography

Muhammad Salar Khan is a Don E. Kash Postdoctoral Fellow in Science and Technology Policy at the Schar School of Policy and Government, George Mason University. He completed PhD in Public Policy from Schar School and earned a master’s degree in public policy (Economic Policy) as a Fulbright scholar at Oregon State University. His PhD dissertation analyzes the link between innovation and economic development in a comparative context. He also conducts interdisciplinary research on AI, AI policy, the social implications of AI and ChatGPT, AI adoption in the federal government, and making AI and the underlying circuitry behind robots more explainable. He has published over a dozen articles in peer-reviewed journals and has made presentations at esteemed conferences.
