Dr. Jennifer M. Rickerby is a distinguished Doctor of Nursing Practice, Family Nurse Practitioner, and Nurse Educator, boasting an illustrious career spanning over 30 years. Dr. Rickerby is passionate about upholding a high standard of care with a child health focus.
As a seasoned educator, she has served as a devoted instructor at all levels of nursing practice, from BSN to DNP.
Dr. Rickerby's educational journey includes a Bachelor in Science of Nursing from SUNY Brockport (1994), a Masters of Science in Nurse Education from Liberty University (2016), and the completion of her Family Nurse Practitioner/Doctoral of Nursing Practice at George Mason University in 2019. Her doctoral project focused on cultural competency in adolescent health. Currently, she is furthering her expertise with a Psych Mental Health Post Grad Certificate at George Mason University.
In the academic realm, Dr. Rickerby has been a Professor at George Mason University since January 2016, delivering didactic instruction in BSN and MSN programs. Additionally, she serves as MAP Clinical Faculty for BSN and MSN students, showcasing her leadership in shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals. MAP clinic serves vulnerable and underserved communities surround GMU.
