Biography
Dr. Hansoo Ko is assistant professor in the Department of Health Administration and Policy. Hansoo is a public health physician and health services researcher with training in health economics. His research spans health economics, health services research, and health policy, with a focus on individual behavioral responses and insurance markets. His work uses Medicaid administrative data sets to understand the role and consequences of policy changes. His research has been funded by the World Health Organization, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
Hansoo earned a PhD in health economics/health policy from University of Illinois at Chicago and an MD from Chung-Ang University College of Medicine (Korea). Before coming to Mason, he was a postdoctoral research associate at New York University Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
