Biography
Now a non-practicing OBGYN physician, Dr. Avinash Patwardhan worked in clinical medicine for 18 years, conducted research in various sectors of American healthcare system for 25 years, and also worked for the World Health Organization. He served as a research assistant professor at the George Washington University for 6 years, and has been an adjunct assistant professor at George Mason University for many years. In addition to being a western trained physician, Patwardhan is a subject matter expert on India’s traditional medicinal system. His current research interests are human sexuality, stress management, and health technologies like robotics and AI. In his spare time, Patwardhan plays flute and drums (Indian classical music), indulges in painting, and has published widely in the field of literature.
