Biography

Andy Van Horn is the Chief Executive Officer of Dweck Properties. He leads Dweck’s corporate and property teams' operations of their 7,200+ unit portfolio in the Washington metro area. He guides investment into new and existing assets and helps develop capital strategies to support planned growth opportunities.

Prior to Dweck, he was an Executive Vice President and Principal with JBG SMITH for more than 15 years. He was responsible for entitlement, community and governmental activities associated with JBG SMITH’s portfolio in National Landing, including Amazon’s HQ and the associated infrastructure improvements. He also coordinated activities with the City of Alexandria regarding the Innovation District being planned around the Virginia Tech Innovation Campus. He completed over four million square feet of entitlement in Arlington County and the City of Alexandria, including Central Place in Rosslyn and Landbays F, G and H in Potomac Yard

Andy serves as a board member of the Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing (APAH), as a member of the real estate committee and a board member of the Washington Airports Task Force, as the board chair of the National Landing Business Improvement District, and as a board member of NAIOP Northern Virginia.
