What's your program and year of study?
I'm in my first semester as an Arts Management MA student and am set to graduate in the Spring of 2028.
Hometown?
Currently, I live in Herndon, VA, but beforehand, I lived in Reston, VA and Italy — I consider both as home.
Why did you choose Mason for your graduate studies?
I chose Mason as part of my graduate studies because of the flexibility that online classes offer, the possibility to study abroad, the proximity to Washington D.C., and its incredible faculty.
What has been your favorite class or project so far?
This is my first semester, so I've only taken two classes so far. However, I have really enjoyed my group project in Dr. MacKay's Seminar in Arts Management class. My teammates and I are creating a new organization from scratch and planning a launch event for the organization. Everyone in my group is very responsible and motivated, so working with them has been a blast. I really have enjoyed learning what it's like to create your own organization! It's shown me how much work goes into creating one, but also revealed how necessary it is to have people that support you and work with you.
What is your favorite arts activity?
It's hard to pick one! I love to crochet, draw, paint, go to museums or galleries, and watch musicals or live performances. Nonetheless, my go-to is always crochet since it's a relaxing and rewarding activity for me. Seeing anything that has to do with fiber or textiles is very intriguing to me. I like to observe and figure out how an artist/crafter was able to make a certain piece by looking at the stitches and see if I can replicate it as well.
