Biography
Raul is a Senior Producer/Writer for Prince William County Schools, and was recognized in 2024 by The National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter of The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences with an Emmy award for his video production work with the school division. While working at PWCS he collaborated as a producer, editor, and videographer on i! nternationally live broadcast educational programs in collaboration with CBS4 Denver, Canal 44 Noticias México, and the USDA Forest Service on topics such as Caves, Grasslands, Freshwater, Woodsy the Owl, and Smoky Bear. Raul is also an avid drone pilot and cinematographer, managing PWCS Media’s fleet of drones.
After graduating from Mason, Raul attended The American University where he earned his Masters in Producing for Film and Television, while maintaining his roots as a production assistant at GMU-TV, and an adjunct professor for the GMU Comms department.
His senior project from GMU’s FAVS program, Song of Roland, was an official selection at the 2013 Cannes film Festival Short Film Corner. Raul has also produced and directed a feature film titled “Frozen Peas.”
