Biography
Originally from Alexandria, Virginia, Millie Langford earned her BA in Theater from Mason. In 2006, she headed to Chicago to train at the School at Steppenwolf; an Intensive Ensemble Training Program, where she had the fortunate opportunity to study with founding member Jeff Perry (Scandal), Alexandra Billing (Transparent) and Amy Morton (Chicago Fire) to name a few. Chicago remained a mainstay for the next nine years where she worked consistently with reputable companies as Steppenwolf Theatre, Milwaukae Repertory Theatre, Northlight Theatre, Victory Gardens, Next Theatre, American Theatre Company, Chicago Dramatists, Timeline Theatre; where she's also a proud company member and many of the intimate black box theatres.
Mildred's television and film credits include the upcoming pilot Dimensional Shift, a supporting role in the full-length, romantic comedy Analysis Paralysis, as an empathetic therapist helping a young writer grapple with his anxiety disorder, a recurring and a guest star on the second season of Magic Funhouse! and Chicago MED, Masters of Sex, BOSS and Market Value. Her independent film appearances include; Your Beautiful Baby, Concrete Rose and Egg Day; both currently making their way through the film festival circuit, Six Hour Pass, Kendra and Obi, Dracula's Mother and Lot Lizards.
More recently, she has appeared in Gunshot Medley: Part 1 by Dionna Michelle Daniel; which was a co-production with Rogue Machine Theatre and Collaborative Artists Bloc and Richard Wright's Native Son at Antaeus Theatre; which was adapted for the stage by award-winning playwright Nambi E. Kelley and directed by Ovation nominee Andi Chapman. She is currently appearing in the dramatic comedy, Commune, which premiered on YouTube in January 2019.
