Come in from the cold for some holiday cheer at the Hylton Center and a vibrant lineup of festive performances waiting to make your holidays bright. Chanticleer ushers in the season of good will toward all in A Chanticleer Christmas (12/1). Founded in 1978, this GRAMMY Award-winning vocal ensemble is charmingly named for the “clear-singing” rooster in Geoffrey Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales. They’ll present a concert featuring a rich and varied program of holiday wonders, including traditional carols, gospel numbers, and global music that spans centuries.

If silky smooth with a soulful edge is your holiday vibe this year, you won’t want to miss Sons of Serendip (12/8). This Billboard-charting classical-crossover quartet serves up stirring interpretations of pop music, arranged with a unique blend of vocals, harp, piano, and cello. You might recognize the group as former finalists from NBC’s America’s Got Talent. If music with a more international flavor is your vibe, Seán Heely’s Celtic Christmas (12/15) is the concert for you! We’re excited to welcome back this award-winning Celtic fiddler, Gaelic singer, and harpist for a concert featuring Gaelic carols tucked in with lively Irish tunes and familiar Christmas melodies with a Celtic twist.

In what has become a Hylton holiday tradition, the American Festival Pops Orchestra also returns with Holiday Pops: Songs of the Season (12/13). Led by Artistic Director and Conductor Peter Wilson, this is a concert the whole family can enjoy together and includes a magical rendition of “The Night Before Christmas,” narrated by George Mason University Dean of the College of Visual and Performing Arts and Hylton Center Executive Director Rick Davis. You’ll also recognize favorite holiday tunes and are invited to join in an audience sing-along.

Our Hylton Center Arts Partners are getting into the holiday spirit with family-friendly, seasonal offerings not to be missed. If you haven't attended an Arts Partner performance yet, you're missing shows by some of our community's most vibrant arts organizations. The Manassas Chorale presents The Twelve Days of Christmas (12/7), a holiday extravaganza featuring the full Chorale and its 20-piece live orchestra. Prince William Little Theatre delights with Christmas Belles (12/13–15; 12/20–22), an uproarious southern farce about family secrets, a surly Santa, and a reluctant Elvis impersonator. Don’t miss the Manassas Symphony Orchestra’s Family Concert: Reveries (12/14), a concert for all ages that culminates with its annual Music and Light Show Spectacular! Of course, no holiday is complete without The Nutcracker (12/18–12/23). Let the Manassas Ballet Theatre dazzle you with this beloved Christmas classic.
