Job description:
- Teach Preparatory and Beginner Level piano students at their homes in Capitol Hill, Washington DC. 4 Preparatory students are ready to start immediately. Possibility to teach at other locations: Crownsville, MD or McLean, VA.
- Adhere to the curriculum and policy of Neo Academy
Salary (4 weeks off a year included)
In-home students:
$120/month/student for Preparatory Level student (30min/week) $240/month/student for Preparatory Level student (60min/week) $130/month/student for Beginner Level student (30min/week) $260/month/student for Beginner Level student (60min/week)
Students at a location (Crownsville, MD or McLean, VA)
- $110/month/student for Preparatory Level student (30min/week)
- $220/month/student for Preparatory Level student (60min/week)
- $120/month/student for Beginner Level student (30min/week)
- $240/month/student for Beginner Level student (60min/week)

Requirements:
- Successfully audition for the Advanced Level piano program
o Ability to perform a 30-minute solo recital from memory (links to a few shorter pieces accepted)
o Adequate knowledge of music theory and history (form, harmony, stylistic knowledge)
- Participate in Advanced Level piano program at Neo Academy
- High level of professionalism, including punctuality, reliable attendance
- Preferred additional qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance
- Able to teach at least eight students when there are enough students
- Work authorization in the US
