Todd Marrs to lead fundraising efforts for College of Public Health

The College of Public Health is delighted to announce that Todd Marrs joins the college as the senior director of development on July 16, 2024. In his new role, Marrs will develop fundraising priorities and strategies; lead campaign strategy for university fundraising initiatives; and oversee the stewardship of donors and prospects.

During his career in philanthropy, Marrs has worked with prestigious public research institutions, including North Carolina State University, the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, the University of Houston, and the University of South Florida. He comes most recently from NC State, where he served as senior director for development in entrepreneurship and regional development for five years.

Marrs brings more than 20 years of higher education leadership and fundraising experience, focusing on leadership and stakeholder engagement, major gift strategies, and scaling philanthropy programs. He holds an MBA in marketing from the University of Tampa and a BS in public relations from the University of Florida.
