The Institute for Biohealth Innovation is launching a professional development National Institutes of Health (NIH) Research Project Grant Program (R01) application bootcamp, which is limited to 6-8 faculty members. Selected individuals will receive training and 1:1 mentorship by former NIH program directors.
This course will walk through each step of the process with targeted assignments and feedback for personalized attention, culminating in an application suitable for submission.
Interested candidates who are willing to make significant time commitments to hone their grant writing skills and build a competitive NIH R01 application due on or after August 16 are encouraged to apply by 5 p.m. on Friday, January 26, 2024. Finalists will be notified by Friday, February 2.
Before submitting applications, please review the program schedule to ensure you can complete the training and meet the required grant writing deadlines. This opportunity is geared toward seasoned and early-stage investigators who may have 1) been funded by a federal agency outside of NIH; 2) served as Co-PI on a NIH R01; and/or 3) served as PI or Co-PI on other smaller NIH funding mechanisms.
