Neelsville Presbyterian Church seeks Accompanist - organ/piano

Position: Accompanist – Organ/Piano: Part-time/Hourly Non-Exempt Reports to: Director of Worship Music Ministry Compensation: $20 - $30 per hour

Commensurate with Education and Experience Worship Style Neelsville’s Worship Service is liturgical, and the music is blended, with a balance of contemporary songs and traditional hymns.

Position Details Hours: Approximately 10 hours per week, including one Sunday morning worship service and one weeknight rehearsal.

 Music degree preferred or strong music background

• Ability to read and accompany a wide variety of Christian music styles
• Willingness to collaborate with other musicians and pastoral staff
• Prior experience playing in a church
• Faith Backgound: A mature Christian faith should be exemplified as you help lead in worship.
• Roles and Responsibilities:
• Play for Sunday worship service. Additional services on Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Christmas Eve.
• Accompany ensembles or soloists who may be participating in worship, as needed. 
• Accompany Chancel Choir’s weekly rehearsals, September through early June. 
• Accompany weddings or memorial services, as requested.
• Instruments: Allen Renaissance 4-manual organ (new 2003), Yamaha baby grand piano Supervision The accompanist works under the supervision of the Director of Worship Music and the Lead Pastor.
• This is a part-time position, approximately 10 hours per week. You will be eligible for Personal Time Off based on your regularly scheduled hours per week according to the Neelsville PTO policy. You will be eligible to voluntarily participate in NPC’s 403(b) Retirement Savings Plan.
