Are you a passionate and experienced music educator? Do you have a knack for inspiring students to discover their musical talents and reach their full potential? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
Lucy School is currently seeking a full-time music teacher for its unique arts integrated program for students in pre-kindergarten through 8th grade. As head of music at Lucy School, you will have the opportunity to shape and deliver an outstanding music curriculum that fosters creativity, confidence, and a love of music in our students. You will work closely with other arts teachers and classroom teachers with the goal of integrating all of the arts into the academic curriculum. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the music program, including developing and implementing innovative teaching strategies, leading performances, and mentoring and supporting our wonderful students.
We are currently in need of a music teacher immediately. It is possible to apply for this 8- week position through the end of this school year. However, we will also need to have a full-time teacher beginning in the fall. If you are interested in the position, but not available until August of 2023, please do still apply!
To allow innovation and imagination to thrive, to educate and empower creative minds across all disciplines, Lucy School makes the arts an integral part of the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive life of each student: pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. The school is tucked away on 17-acres of rolling hills, woodlands, wetlands, fields, organic gardens, pond, inviting waterfall and beautiful blueberry hill. We have been designated a National Green Ribbon School for our environmental program. Our classroom buildings include a beautifully renovated big red barn; a farmhouse listed on the National Historic Registry, and an eco-green classroom building (LEED Platinum), where our music room is located.
