GALA Hispanic Theatre is looking for a Special Event Intern
GALA Hispanic Theatre is gearing up for its 2022 benefit event on May 8 at St. Francis Hall. The event includes awards, live and silent auctions, seated dinner, and inspiring performances. The intern will have the opportunity to engage in the process of planning a major fundraising event, from procuring items for the auction, organization auctions, learning new software, database management, and volunteer engagement.
This is a remote opportunity but will require some on-site presence to prep for the auction and on the day of the event.
What you can expect:
- To gain real work experience and provide meaningful assistance to the organization
- To have guidance, feedback, receptiveness, and models of professionalism
- To gain experience and skills in event management
Requirements:
- Proficient computer skills (MS Word and Excel)
- The ability to learn new software (patron/donor and auction software)
- Spanish speaker is a plus but not essential to perform tasks
