The Online MBA Program at George Mason University School of Business was recently ranked #73 among Best Online MBA Programs for 2023 by U.S. News & World Report. This year’s national ranking is the third consecutive increase and continues an upward climb that began with the online program’s inception in 2018, even before the global pandemic forced a pivot to distance learning among colleges and universities.

The program’s national ranking has climbed 50 spots since its first ranking in 2020, when it earned a rank of #123.

For the 2023 edition, U.S. News ranked online MBA programs according to five criteria: student and faculty engagement, peer assessment, faculty credentials and training, student excellence, and services and technologies.

“This leap reflects our commitment to offering a high-quality and rigorous online MBA Program that meets working professionals where they are,” says MBA Program Director Ioannis Bellos. “Although the program allows students to learn on their own schedules, Mason’s online MBA students have the opportunity to directly engage with expert faculty and dedicated staff who are invested in their success.”

Mason’s Online MBA Program also climbed 18 spots to claim #46 among Best Online MBA Programs for Veterans in the 2023 U.S. News & World Report rankings, up from #64 last year.

“One of our program’s biggest assets is our talented students, whose diverse backgrounds catalyze the transformative experience of getting an MBA at Mason,” says Bellos.

Accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), Mason’s online MBA program equips students with a diverse skill set and global perspective to solve a wide range of complex organizational challenges. Students develop their analytical, managerial, and interpersonal skills through a rigorous, engaging business and management curriculum. Mason’s online MBA can be completed from one and a half to three years, and is an ideal fit for lifelong learners and other professionals who are seeking a high-caliber education within a flexible, competitively-priced, part-time program.

“The School of Business is built on a foundation of academic excellence and research, and has emerged as a leader in the post-pandemic era of distance learning solutions,” says Dean Ajay Vinzé. “As the demand for online education has grown, we have continued to find new ways to innovate through modular education, lifelong learning, and global engagement.”

The School of Business Master of Science in Accounting Program was also ranked #66 among Best Non-MBA Online Master’s in Business Programs for 2023.

Mason’s Master of Science in Accounting Program is designed to help students meet Virginia’s 150-credit CPA licensing requirement while developing advanced analytical, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills. Courses emphasize the latest trends and issues in accounting, business ethics, and corporate governance.
