The MusicStart on-site elementary after school program (beginmusic.com) runs engaging kids’ beginner music classes. We are looking for Fall ’22 after school music teachers at elementary schools in and around Northern VA and Bethesda MD. (In-person.)
Many different types of instrumentalists teach for us- being good with kids is equally important to musical skills. It’s just 1 hour once per week per school. (But more than 1 school may have openings.)
- This pays $55-70/class mtg depending on enrollment which is 5-15 kids
- Class time is directly after school around 3:30 for an hour
- Each school site meets at the same day and time each week for an average 8 week term

Program content description:
We developed a portable educational electronic keyboard, called the MusicStart Keyboard. Each child gets one to use in class. Students learn to read music and play familiar tunes through color, letter, and musical notation matching. They prepare for taking any musical instrument, and at the same time they learn step by step problem solving. All materials are provided. You can see a short 5min demo video at beginmusic.com
