Patriots are always up for a challenge

Dear Patriots,

Mason Nation is always up for a challenge, and right now we are meeting it head on.

Mason’s commitment to the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff is unwavering. And our plan for a Safe Return to Campus has produced initial success, with post Labor-Day testing showing only 11 positives out of 2,400 students tested, a 0.45% positivity rate.

Clearly, without the willingness of the community to follow all safety protocols, we wouldn’t be operating the way we are today.

One vital step is wearing a face covering. Research shows that wearing a face covering reduces the risk of contracting COVID-19. When others around you wear face coverings and physically distance, the risk is reduced even further.

Our community is showing resilience, care for each other and success, so keep up the great work.

Wear your mask and remind others to do the same. It is one of the most important ways you can show up for each other, and keep Mason and our community healthy.

Remember Patriots protect Patriots.
