Recently, Information Technology Services (ITS) purchased an institutional license for George Mason University for the videoconferencing tool Zoom. ITS is working to configure Zoom to meet university security and support standards and is planning for this tool to be ready for university-wide use in the coming weeks. A launch announcement will be sent when Zoom is available.
Mason Users Who Have Purchased Zoom Accounts
ITS is aware that some individuals and departments at Mason have previously purchased Zoom licenses, which may include enhanced features. To ensure users maintain their features, ITS is asking anyone who has paid for a Zoom license to complete a survey.
While ITS actively works to make Zoom available, it is recommended that the Mason community take advantage of Webex Meetings or Webex Teams to host meetings as these tools are fully implemented.
