Effective April 22, 2020:
To address the needs of students affected by COVID-19, George Mason University will accept unofficial documents from applicants in order to complete a file for an admissions decision. This change will be for both our freshman and transfer applicants for Fall 2020. We understand that there are many schools around the world that are closed at this time and that sending official documents may be difficult. If you have personal copies of your transcripts please send them to admissions@gmu.edu to complete your file. Please send us the most up to date documents that you have. We will work with you to collect the official documents later in the admission cycle. No transfer credits will be awarded based on unofficial documents.
