Apple FCU's On-Campus Branch Closed
As part of Apple FCU's COVID-19 response to do our part in slowing the spread of the virus, we are temporarily closing our Mason Branch (Fairfax Campus) until further notice. All ATMs will remain accessible at each campus. Staff have been reassigned to other branches.
For any in-person needs, visit a nearby branch: Fairfax Station/Burke (5616A Ox Rd.) or Fairfax (9701 Main St.); both have drive-thrus. As the health and safety of our employees and members are top-of-mind, we kindly request that if you’re not feeling well, please use Online Banking, our Mobile App or call 703-788-4800.

Mail Services: Modified Hours and Schedule
Effective March 18, University Mail Services has implemented modified operating procedures. Mail and packages collect and distribute mail and packages along the following procedures:
Fairfax Campus
- Regular mail delivery will occur on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday until normal operations resume.
- Mail Services front counter will be open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Arlington and SciTech Campuses
- Interoffice mail delivery service will occur on Tuesday and Friday.
Campuswide
- Mail delivery to essential departments will continue on the usual schedule.
- Departments may request their mail be held until Mason resumes its normal schedule. Departments may also request to pick up their mail at The Hub, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please send either request to Mail Services at mailroom@gmu.edu.
- The Hub mailroom will be closed on weekends.

University Libraries Accepting Applications for 2020 Fenwick Fellow Competition
The University Libraries are now accepting applications for this year's Fenwick Fellow competition. The Fellowship is awarded annually to eligible Mason faculty members to support a research project that uses and enhances the Libraries' resources while advancing knowledge in their field.
Up to two Fellowships of $5,000 each may be awarded; program guidelines include funding for an additional fellowship for a project proposal that specifically aligns with the Libraries' initiatives in the area of digital scholarship.
Application deadline is Monday, May 11. The awardee(s) will be announced at the start of the fall semester. Following the completed fellowship, University Libraries sponsors a public lecture by each Fenwick Fellow in the spring semester.

Updated Shuttle Schedules Available
The Mason Shuttles schedules have been updated to reflect the current impacts of COVID-19 and the plan to extend virtual instruction for the remainder of the spring semester. Please vist the website and click on your route to see the latest schedule.
During these fluid times, please use the shuttle schedules rather than RideSystems to see when shuttles are running.

Bicycle Commuting 101 via WebEx
Bicycling to campus can be fun and great for your well-being. Join Delia Johnson, from CVPA and a League of American Bicyclists certified instructor, for Bicycle Commuting 101.
During this session at noon on Friday, April 10 via WebEx, Delia will share information to help you feel more confident about getting to campus on two wheels.

Bike Maintenance on the Fairfax Campus
Get your bike ready for spring with The Bike Lane! They will be on the Fairfax Campus the first Wednesday of the month at the Recreation and Athletic Complex (the RAC).
You can set up an appointment for two different tiers of service. Keep in mind that appointments are required, and payment is made in advance of service.

Bike to Mason Days Postponed until Fall 2020
Bike to Mason Days, originally scheduled for Tuesday, April 21 in Arlington, Wednesday, April 22 in Fairfax, and Thursday, April 23 at SciTech have been postponed until fall 2020. Keep riding!

In keeping with the University protocols regarding COVID-19, DMV2Go visits to the Fairfax Campus are canceled until further notice.
Learn to Ride with FABB
Do you want to learn how to ride a bike? The Fairfax Alliance for Better Bicycling (FABB), in partnership with Parking and Transportation, is offering a Learn to Ride class on Saturday, April 25 from 10 a.m. to noon for just $15.

Summer Camp Registration at Mason Community Arts Academy
Join us this summer for artistry and skill-building camps and workshops at George Mason University. We are offering more than 80 acting, music, film & video, and visual arts programs for kids and teens. Teacher training workshops in Orff and Kodàly are available for credit and non-credit and aftercare available for most programs on campus.
All programs are taught by Mason and Academy faculty, area experts, or industry professionals. Multiple program and date options are available, including a residential option for the Summer Music Intensives and teacher training programs.
