Delegated Purchasing Authority: Policy Feedback Requested

Fiscal Services invites the campus community to submit comments on the scheduled changes to University Policy 2106.

The current purchasing authority delegated to units is capped at $2,000. University Policy 2106 is scheduled to be amended on September 1 to raise all units’ delegated purchasing limit to $5,000.

Benefits of this change include: increased fiscal control for units, quicker turnaround for eVA purchase order issuance, and improved purchasing ability on P-Cards.

Submit comments on the proposed change to fscomm@gmu.edu by August 9.
