Founders Hall, one of two major academic buildings on the Arlington Campus, will officially be renamed Van Metre Hall on July 1. In addition, Bull Run Hall on the SciTech Campus will be officially renamed Katherine Johnson Hall on July 1.
Events scheduled in these two academic buildings starting July 1 should be requested through 25Live using the following location codes when searching for available event spaces:
- Van Metre Hall: ARLVM
- Katherine Johnson Hall: PW-KJH
Current confirmed reservations for Founders Hall event spaces after this date will be transferred to “Van Metre Hall.” Those confirmed for Bull Run Hall event spaces after this date will be transferred to “Katherine Johnson Hall."
Summer classes scheduled in these buildings will continue to use the former 25Live codes, ARLFH and PW-BRH, respectively. Going forward, all scheduled fall classes will use the new codes in their location assignments.
The university will post temporary signage during this transition to assist students, faculty, staff, and visitors at these locations.
