Getting Started
While training in the Mason Drupal CMS is helpful to contributors and editors in shared content, it may not be necessary for every role. Editors and contributors in shared content have access ONLY to items indexed in shared content, therefore, they are not able to make interface, page or navigation changes on the receiving sites.
For Managers: The roster of your shared content contributors and/or editors should be audited and maintained regularly. When personnel leave your unit, or leave the university, it is YOUR responsibility to notify Digital Communications of their departure so that their editorial permissions can be revoked. Failure to maintain an accurate list of editors jeopardizes the security of your content.
Logging in:
In your web browser (Digital Communications recommends Safari, Firefox or Chrome) please navigate to https://content.gmu.edu/saml_login
Assuming that you have been through the onboarding process for this training, you should be granted permission to access the database content through Mason’s single-sign-on service (Shibboleth).
