Students beat faculty/staff in Hoop Dreamin' Challenge, but real winner is charity

The final score was Students 53, Faculty/Staff 49. But more important than winners and losers was the 138 pounds of canned and non-perishable food items donated by the participants and sent to the Arlington Food Bank.

The annual charity basketball game pits a team of George Mason University students against a team of faculty and staff. Played at the Linn Gym on the Fairfax Campus, the event was sponsored by the 2018 Martin Luther King Commemoration committee, including junior community health major Ashley Koranteng and junior criminology major Taija Miller, in collaboration with the Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Multicultural Education (ODIME), Mason Recreation, and Athletics.

Check out some of the action in these photos by junior film and video studies major Justin Kelly.
