A parade of walkers showing their school spirit and decorated golf carts set off from Merten Hall on the Fairfax Campus on Monday afternoon, as the first event of George Mason University’s Homecoming Week.
The parade headed to the Johnson Center, where a Kick-off Party in Dewberry Hall featured introductions of the men’s and women’s basketball teams, Mason cheerleaders, the Masonettes, the Green Machine pep band, and free food, games and giveaways.
Mason photographers Ron Aira and Evan Cantwell were there to capture all the action.
A tailagte party is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 10, from 1-3:30 p.m. in Lot K, prior to a men's basketball game against George Washington at 4 p.m. at EagleBank Arena.
