George Mason University President Ángel Cabrera will host a forum to update the university community on the status of the strategic plan at 10:30 a.m., Nov. 16, in the Johnson Center Cinema on the Fairfax Campus.
George Mason’s 10-year Strategic Plan, adopted by the university community in 2013, spells out our values and serves as the guiding framework for the university’s aspirations. Four years into implementation, it is time for a critical review of our progress and a prioritization of our next steps. Since late summer, four working groups of faculty, staff, alumni and student representatives have been updating existing metrics, drafting lists of accomplishments, and assessing current and future initiatives for each of the plan’s 12 strategic goals.
The Nov. 16 forum will serve to solicit broader feedback from the university community while offering a preview of the working groups’ findings. Please join President Cabrera and the leaders of the working groups for a lively discussion.
Videoconferencing will be available on the Arlington Campus (Founders Hall, Room 322); SciTech Campus (Bull Run Hall, Room 254); Mason in Loudoun (Signal Hill, Room 101); and Front Royal (Academic, Room 219).
