George Mason University is ranked in the top 40 percent worldwide of all institutions evaluated for clinical, pre-clinical and health programs, according to the latest analysis by Times Higher Education.
George Mason is ranked 176-200 out of 500 universities listed. In the state, Mason is behind only the University of Virginia, which is ranked 101-125.
Times Higher Education lists its top 100 institutions individually. It displays the rest in groups of 25. See the entire list here.
“We are extremely proud of our College of Health and Human Services’ clinical and health sciences programs that are home to an incredible faculty and student body,” CHHS Dean Germaine Louis said.
“This ranking is especially noteworthy in light of the college’s diverse student body and our clinical outreach to medically underserved populations, both locally and globally,” she added. “The college remains committed to the health and well-being of the many populations we serve.”
Times Higher Education created its evaluation using 13 performance indicators under five categories: the learning environment; research (volume and reputation); citations; international outlook (staff, students and research); and innovation.
