Mac OS X Lion and GMU Wireless

Network Engineering & Technology (NET), with assistance from users, have determined the source of the issue with Lion/Safari and Mason's wireless networks. Apple has changed the method of security certificate verification on their platform. The new method is to check all security certificates prior to presenting information to the browser. The browser attempts to verify the security certificates, but due to the Mason Captive Portal page no internet access is allowed until a successful login has occurred, thus the Safari browser doesn't respond to requests. Working with users, NET has found several workarounds for users. NET is working to find additional possible solutions for this change in how Apple handles security certificates.
