On Sunday 1/13/2013, the ITU is making changes to the MESA Active Directory System, so that it will more fully integrate with Mason's new email and calendaring suite, Office 365.Most users will not notice any changes, but it may affect how some users access their MESA-authenticated applications, or write or manage scripts.
Individual Users – Windows/PC
If you:
·Log on to a MESA application like the M Drive, SDE, or EPMO from a Windows PC within the MESA domain, or
·Log on to any MESA applications from a PC that is not within the MESA domain using the MESA\NetID format for your user id,
Your login method will not change.
However, if you:
·Log on to any MESA applications from a Windows PC that is not within the MESA domain using the NetID@mesa.gmu.edu format for your user id
Then your login will change effective 1/13.The new login format is NetID@gmu.edu (dropping the "mesa." from the address).
Not sure if your PC is on the MESA domain?
Windows PC users can tell if you log on to the MESA domain if the "Log On to Windows" screen is similar to one below. If the "Log On To" field does not say "MESA", you are NOT logging on to the MESA domain.
