David S. Goldberg was named the 2017 CHHS Distinguished Alumnus of the Year. The Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes a graduate of the College of Health and Human Services whose has made substantial professional contributions to the healthcare or human services fields. Recipients are judged based on their service and contributions to CHHS; involvement in George Mason University; career achievements and professional impact; professional, civic, educational, and/or honorary groups; special honors and recognition; and community, national or international distinction.
David S.Goldberg completed his Master of Science in Health Systems Management at George Mason University and is currently the Executive Vice President of Administration for the Allegheny Health Network, an integrated delivery and financing system based in Pittsburgh, PA. Perhaps more telling has been his passionate involvement in community service organizations such as the Pittsburgh American Heart Association Board of Directors and recognition from the American Diabetes Association as a Father of the Year in Pittsburgh. Goldberg was recently appointed by Governor Wolf to the Commonwealth’s Early Learning Investment Commission.
