Mason’s master’s program in nursing ranks 38th in country

George Mason University’s School of Nursing’s master’s degree program is number 38 in the nation according to a new survey by College Choice.

Mason offers a master of science in nursing, with concentrations in nurse educator, nursing administration and nurse practitioner. The program accepts 43.4 percent of those who apply and boasts an 8:1 student/faculty ratio. Some 40 percent of the faculty members are practitioners.

The average starting salary for graduates is $62,100 in their first year of employment.
