Employee Milestones Applauded at University Day Celebrations

This year’s University Day celebrations take place April 7 and 8. The annual event commemorates employee service in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and has been observed at George Mason University since 1980.

Green Day, celebrated on April 7, recognizes those who have reached a service milestone at George Mason of five, 10 and 15 years. Service awards will be presented by Mason president Ángel Cabrera at a luncheon held from noon to 1:30 p.m. in Dewberry Hall at the Johnson Center on the Fairfax Campus.

Gold Day, celebrated on April 8, congratulates those who have reached a service milestone of 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45 years. Service awards will be presented by President Cabrera at an awards breakfast from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in Dewberry Hall in the Johnson Center.
