Per Lincoln Properties, the smoking policy at the Metropolitan Building on the Arlington Campus adheres to the Virginia ordinances on smoking:
- Smoking is not permitted in any tenant spaces or the interior common areas of the building. This includes the main lobbies, elevator lobbies, stairwells, roof, and bathrooms.
- There is no smoking allowed within 25 feet of the building in front of main lobby doors or in front of the retail tenant spaces, parking garage, or handicap parking zone.
There are designated smoking areas located at the front of the building and along the side of the building by Mala Tang.
